I am the Chief Executive of The British Ceramics Confederation.
I have over 20 years experience in politics and communications including roles in Government and Opposition. I was a prominent member of the Transport Select Committee and founding Chair of the Parliamentary Freight Transport Group.
Between leaving Parliament in 2017 and February 2022, I ran a number of businesses and a trade body as well as delivering strategic and communications support to transport and energy companies and the third sector.
Prior to becoming an MP in 2005, I worked as a Chartered Tax Adviser at Price Waterhouse and a Manager at Arthur Andersen before serving as Compliance Director of Platts Flello Ltd.
