From 2002 to 2004 I was a Councillor for the Longbridge Ward.
As a member of the Council I represented the City on eight economic development boards, including the Central Technology Belt and Birmingham Research & Development Board.
In the 2001 General Election, I was the agent for Richard Burden helping him to successfully retain his Birmingham Northfield seat.
I was also the election agent in the Birmingham City Council elections for three councillors as well as myself.
During the 2005 General Election campaign I worked as a part-time organiser in the successful campaign to re-elect Janet Dean in the Burton Constituency.
As a member of the Birmingham Northfield Labour Party I held various political offices at a constituency and branch level, including being the campaign organiser for the constituency and the Longbridge Ward Organiser.
I worked across the West Midlands teaching local Constituency Labour Parties about modern campaign techniques as well as providing support during elections. I also volunteered at the annual Party Conference providing support to delegates with speech writing and presentation skills.
In 2019, having quit Corbyn's Labour Party, regrettably I joined the Lib Dems believing them to have changed from their old ways. It was a mistake and I left the Lib Dems about as quickly as I joined them.
